What is A&K Skill Development?

A&K Skill Development is a year-round basketball training program open for any player regardless of age or skill-level. All that we require is for the child to want to improve at the game.
After training in close relation with the Erie Bayhawks, Millcreek Youth Athletic Association, Gannon University, and other parties across the Greater Erie Area, we have developed an effective yet unique style of teaching. We offer tailor-made sessions for individuals, small groups, and teams; these sessions are focused on teaching children the fundamentals of basketball as well as integral life traits throughout the process. We use our passion, experience, and knowledge to prepare kids’ minds and bodies for the highest level of success.

A&K’s goal is to deliver the best basketball training product in Erie while ensuring our players have fun. With constant access to the ever-evolving game of basketball, we are capable of doing thai while discovering new and exciting ways to teach fundamental concepts. Through drills and the process of observing other players, we are consistently updating our program to better convey the reasoning behind each move we teach.
Our staff contains players that have performed at nearly every level and stage of the sport; our coaches come from a multitude of backgrounds and experiences, including Division 1, 2, and 3 processes, semi-pro leagues, rec leagues, and even overseas professional leagues. We also have an outstanding reach with coaches at the university level. For us, basketball extends beyond the court; we network in adjacent areas including marketing, management, operations, and beyond to our clients reach their fullest potential.
